The Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior for Public Affairs, Maj. Gen. Mahmoud Saeed, met, Tuesday, with Ben Freddy, the Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross Mission in Libya, and his advisor John Strick Linskote.

The Ministry stated that the meeting followed up on the issue of facilitating procedures for granting entry visas to Libya for members of the mission.

The meeting also touched on the mission's efforts in the flood-hit areas in eastern Libya, the necessary humanitarian assistance provided, and training on forensic medical procedures provided by the Red Cross mission in Libya.

During the meeting, the issue of opening an office for the ICRC Mission within the city of Sirte was also discussed, through which the mission’s work activity would be expanded.
