The National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced the extension of the seasonal influenza vaccination campaign until next March 31, due to the spread of seasonal influenza virus and respiratory syncytial virus.
In a statement, the NCDC called for the necessity of intensifying efforts to raise awareness among citizens and taking the necessary measures to raise community immunity to reach the targeted groups, which estimated at about 700,000 people.
The seasonal influenza vaccination campaign was launched on December 1, targeting those over 55 years of age and those suffering from chronic diseases aged 6 months and over.
