The Dutch Ambassador to Libya Eric Starting agreed on Friday with Libya's representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Special Representative and Deputy Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) Maria Ribeiro to support the Libyan High National Elections Commission (HNEC).
According to the agreement signed by both sides, the Netherlands will provide $ 1.65 million to the UNDP Electoral Project Fund. The project aims to strengthen the HNEC 's role in managing the electoral processes in accordance with the internationally recognized principles.
