The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has sent the Chargé d'Affairs at its embassy in Tripoli, Ashiq Ali, to the detention center in Benghazi to find out the condition of the Pakistani detainees.
Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mumtaz Zahra Baloch confirmed communication with the detainees, affirming cooperating with the United Nations to ensure their safety.
On July 18, the Anti-Illegal Migration Agency, Benghazi branch, reported that Ashiq Ali visited the center to find out about the problems and obstacles facing Pakistani nationals in the city of Benghazi, especially those inside the Ganfouda shelter who suffer from diseases and who do not have identification documents.
