Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) Mustafa Sanallah said that the NOC was unable to resume operations normally in Sharara oil field since the tenth of last December, calling for the need to abide by the rule of law.

During his meeting with French Ambassador to Libya Beatrice de Hellene, Sanallah expressed the NOC's concern over the security situation in the south, stressing that the assets of the institution and property of the Libyans must be protected to resume oil production, and not to exploit the NOC to gain political or economic influence, according to the NOC's website.
