The Public Prosecution has ordered the detention of the Financial Controller of the Ministry of Health pending investigation on charges of corruption.
According to a statement by the Public Prosecution, the accused requested a bribe in exchange for facilitating the payment of service contracts provided for the health sector.
After the investigations, the accused received a bribe worth 40,000 Libyan dinars, 10,000 US dollars, and a motor vehicle worth 195,000 Libyan dinars, in exchange for signing financial transactions.
