The Investigation Department of the Attorney General's Office ordered on Tuesday the detention of the former Director of the Financial Affairs Department at the Ministry of Interior.
Earlier, the Public Prosecutor ordered the imprisonment of two former members of the Procurement Committee at the Ministry of Interior during the years 2013 and 2014 on charges squandering public funds.
The General Attorney’s Office recently issued several orders for the detention of some Officials, including Ministers, on charges of embezzlement of public funds and abuse of power.
