The Hospital of Kabaw has received a shipment of medical supplies with the support of the Ministry of Health, the Municipal Council of Kabaw said on Tuesday.

The shipment included around 40 ICU beds and 10 ambulance stretches, in addition to temperature scanners.

However, the head of Kabaw Hospital, Ramadan Boto, said that other sets of measures are mostly needed to improve the level of services at the hospital, including programs for enhancing the capabilities of staff, both at the medical and administrative levels.

The Municipal Council of Kabaw and the hospital's administration said they are reviewing plans to restrict the whole system of the rural hospital, with a view to develop it into a larger one.
