Russian Deputy Defence Minister Yunus-bek Yevkurov led a top-level military delegation to Libya in response to an invitation from rogue military commander Khalifa Haftar.
A readout by the Russian Ministry of Defence said the visit was the result of discussions between Russia and Libya during the 11th Moscow International Security Conference and the Army-2023 military-technical forum held in Moscow recently.
On top of the agenda is to discuss cooperation in combating international terrorism and other areas of joint action, according to the same source.
