The Former Head of the High Council of State (HCS) Abdulrahman Sewehli described the Security Council's decision to impose sanctions against the Commander of Al-Samoud Brigade Salah Badi as selective and settling of scores.
"Turning accountability into selective measures and a vendetta negates its already limited impact," Suwehli tweeted out on his account.
Al-Suwaheli added that it will not be surprising if these sanctions were counterproductive, pointing out that such an approach could only lead to more polarization and make Salamé’s difficult task even harder.
