The residents of the city of Al-Marj said that they felt a slight tremor at 8:00 am on Wednesday morning.

The mayor of Al-Marj Municipality, Walid Sahloub said in a statement that the tremor is the third in the last two weeks and lasted for about 10 seconds, stressing that it did not result in any damage.

“No similar tremors were reported in other areas close to the city”, Sahloub added, pointing out that life is normal inside the city and no decision has been taken to suspend studies.

He also confirmed that the emergency room, which was formed by a decision of the Government of National Unity, started carrying out its tasks and communicating with all concerned parties in Tripoli.
