The Teachers' Union, in a statement on Tuesday, demanded that the Minister for Education, Othman Abdul Jalil, and his deputy, Adel Jumaa, be dismissed from office immediately.
The Union called on the Chairman of the Presidential Council to submit an apology consistent with what they described as the extent of the damage caused by the Minister of Education and his deputy.
It also demanded the separation of the Ministry of Education from the Ministry of Higher Education.
