The Attorney General’s Office has announced the imprisonment of the former branch manager of Sahara Bank in Al-Khums and three accounting department employees on charges of embezzling 1.5 million dinars.
According to a statement on the Attorney General’s Facebook page, the court sentenced the manager to 10 years in prison, ordered him to return the 1.5 million dinars, fined him over 3 million dinars, and permanently stripped him of his civil rights.
The court also sentenced the other three defendants to one year in prison but suspended the sentence for five years.
