Eight people have been killed while two others are battling for their lives in hospital after several vehicles collided on the road linking Al-Shwerf and Brak Al-Shati in the country's south.
Brak General Hospital said the two cases receiving treatment in its departments are in very critical condition.
The Traffic Affairs and Licensing Department said such accidents typically occur when motorists attempt to change lanes on the road and sideswipe another vehicle, noting that generally, these incidents end up with fatal consequences.
