Tripoli trees

The Tripoli Public Services Company inked a deal with Oilinvest Group on Wednesday to plant one million trees in Tripoli.

The signing ceremony took place in the presence of several ministers and dignitaries. According to Mohamed Ismail, Chairman of the Board of the Tripoli Public Services Company, the first batch of trees is scheduled to arrive in May.

Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah hailed the initiative, expressing on his Facebook account, "Today marks the commencement of a reforestation endeavour within Tripoli's Wild Life Park, with the planting of one million trees, aiming to reduce carbon emissions and atmospheric pollutants."

He emphasized that the project will play a pivotal role in combating desertification, bolstering vegetation cover, mitigating the effects of climate change, and improving air quality.
