The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Government of National Unity (GNU), Taher Al-Baour, has discussed with the US special envoy, Richard Norland, the resumption of embassy’s work from the capital, Tripoli, during the coming period.

Both sides reviewed developments in the Gaza Strip situation, the importance of joint coordination, and making efforts to reduce the escalation.

They also stressed the importance of Libyan-American relations, strengthening the strategic partnership and cooperation between the two countries, in a way that serves common interests, supporting peace and stability efforts in the country, and working to hold national elections as soon as possible.
