Turkey’s exports to Africa totaled $1.5 billion in January, with North African nations securing the lion’s share, according to figures from the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly, as reported by Anadolu Agency.
Egypt emerged as the largest importer of Turkish goods, purchasing $256.3 million worth of products. Morocco followed in second place with $225.3 million, while Libya ranked third, receiving $186.5 million in Turkish exports.
Overall, North Africa accounted for 67% of Turkey’s total exports to the continent, amounting to $1 billion.
Among the top-performing sectors, chemicals and chemical products led the way, with exports valued at $178.7 million.
