UNICEF Libya has installed solar energy systems in 15 out of 30 primary health care centers across Libya. 

UNICEF Libya stated in a brief statement that this initiative ensures uninterrupted delivery of health services including maternal, newborn, child and adolescent services. 

The organization indicated that this work comes within its efforts to strengthen basic health services in Libya.

It thanked Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) for its support for the initiative.
