The governments of the United States and Denmark announced their support to strengthen the electoral process in Libya during a signing ceremony held in Tunis to support the relevant Libyan bodies in the electoral process.

The Danish Government will contribute through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs with $ 1 million to the activities of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in promoting elections and legislative authorities in Libya.

The program aims to increase the capacity of the Central Committee for the Municipal Elections to support activities of education and awareness of voters and to promote the participation of women and persons with disabilities in the electoral process.
