The Chargé d’Affaires of the United States embassy in Libya, Jeremy Berndt met with the Head of Libyan Audit Bureau Khalid Shakshak and hailed the Audit Bureau’s technocratic integrity, its independence, and its role in promoting transparent revenue management, according to international standards.
Brendt thanked Shakshak for the meeting and said those Audit Bureau's traits remain essential for the welfare and prosperity of the Libyan people, adding that the US is proud to partner with the Audit Bureau through USAID technical assistance, according to the US embassy's X platform page.
