The US Embassy in Libya has denied reports that Amentum Company trained armed groups in Libya on behalf of the US government.
The embassy confirmed in a statement that these reports are false, incorrect allegations, and represent a false description of the classroom training administered by Amentum outside Libya for law enforcement officials.
The embassy explained that Amentum is an executive partner of the International Anti-terrorism Assistance Program of the US State Department, which is managed by the Bureau of Diplomatic Security worldwide.
