US envoy to Libya: Effective response efforts to flood disaster must be consolidated

The US envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, has stressed that now the focus must be on how best to consolidate Libyan efforts toward an effective, unified response to the flood disaster.

This came during his meeting with the Tebu Congress President Issa Abdul Majid Mansour, according to the US Embassy X platform page.

“Thanks to Tebu Congress President Issa Abdul Majid Mansour for a good meeting today.  The humanitarian crisis in Derna has brought Libyans together.  Now the focus must be on how best to consolidate Libyan efforts toward an effective, unified response to the flood disaster”
