The Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah has stressed his support for all international efforts to hold Libyan elections, and renewed his approval of the UN envoy’s proposal regarding dialogue between the Libyan political parties.

Dbeibah's remarks came in his meeting on Tuesday with the US envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, and the Charge d'Affairs of the US Embassy in Libya, Jeremy Berndt, as well as the delegation accompanying them, in the presence of the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Adel Jumua.

Dbeibah government's Hakomitna platform reported that the meeting had discussed a number of political and economic files, and the situation in neighboring countries, in addition to the situation in Sudan and Niger, and the necessity of stopping the war and ending the conflicts there in order to contribute to stabilizing the situation in Libya.

The platform added that during this meeting, the attendees confirmed their support for the efforts of the UN envoy, Abdoulaye Bathily regarding the dialogue of the Libyan political parties to develop solutions to the problems that hinder the holding of elections.
