The US Ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland has reaffirmed his country's support for the efforts of the Government of National Accord (GNA) to disband armed groups in Libya.
This came during his meeting with Interior Minister, Fathi Bashagha in Tunisia, on Monday, according to the ministry's media office.
Discussions focused on efforts to disarm armed groups according to its classification at the recent meetings held in the United States of America.
The two sides agreed on the threat such armed groups pose on the building of a strong, unified and democratic state, according to the ministry's media office.
