The ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Libya, Mohammed Al-Shamsi, agreed with the US Special Envoy to Libya, Richard Norland, and the Chargé d'Affairs at the US Embassy to Libya, Jeremy Brent, to support the efforts of the UN envoy to Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily, to bring together the main Libyan parties in serious negotiations aimed at developing a credible roadmap to hold elections as soon as possible.

This came during the talks between Al Shamsi, Norland and Brent on Monday, according to the US Embassy, which indicated that the talks also discussed the outcomes of the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP-28 in Dubai.
