The Deputy Prime Minister of the  Government of National Unity and acting Minister of Health, Ramadan Abu Janah, met with the Minister of Health and Social Protection of Morocco, Khaled Ait Taleb, on the sidelines of the opening activities of the 77th session of the World Health Assembly in Geneva, which saw the participation of more than 90 countries.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance and expand the horizons of future cooperation between Libya and Morocco in the field of pharmaceutical manufacturing and health insurance, in addition to discussing increasing the exchange of experiences between medical teams through cooperation of health institutions in both countries.

The two sides went over health experiences and expertise in the field of initiatives, comprehensive health coverage, and management of hospitals and medical facilities.

According to the Ministry of Health on its Facebook page, the Moroccan Minister reviewed his country’s experience in universalizing compulsory health coverage that embodies the right to health, expressing his aspiration to exchange official visits between the health officials of the two countries to discuss health investment opportunities and sign cooperation agreements to strengthen bilateral relations.
