The Head of the High Council of State (HCS), Khaled Al-Mishri, on Friday, held talks with the US Envoy Richard Norland and Chargé d'Affaires, Leslie Ordman.
A statement by the HCS said Al-Mishri reviewed with Ambassador Norland the outcomes of the 6+6 Committee and the mechanism applied for writing the relevant laws.
He also revealed to the US officials a proposal prepared by the HCS for a road map to elections.
For his part, Norland said he discussed with Al-Mishri the work of the 6 + 6 Committee and the need for consensus to move forward with the political process to give Libyans the opportunity to elect their national leaders, as he urged support for the UN Envoy Abdoulaye Bathily.
The HCS said the two sides agreed on many points and discussed several issues, including the work of the National Oil Corporation, which Al-Mishri gave observations about its approach.
