The Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah said Monday that food security faces great challenges after the Ukrainian-Russian war, which requires investment between Africa and Europe, especially in agricultural development.

Dbeibah's remarks were made in the Italian capital, Rome, at the opening session of the Fourth Conference on Food Security and Sustainable Health Care, which was held on the sidelines of the United Nations Food Summit, with the participation of the Ghanaian and Armenian presidents, the Italian Senate president and a number of political and academic figures.

Dbeibah hailed the European-African partnership in all fields, calling for strengthening cooperation and investment between the Libyan private sector and Italian institutions working in this field. He referred to Libya's participation in the Conference on Immigration and Development, which was held in Rome on Sunday, and the agreement of the participants on the need for development and rehabilitation in the source countries to ensure stability in the region.

The Conference on Food Security and Sustainable Health Care is going to conclude in Rome on Tuesday, with about 2,000 participants from 160 countries, including leaders and prime ministers of 20 countries.
