The Head of the Presidential Council in Libya, Fayez Al-Sirraj, told the Municipalities Association meeting on Saturday that the election of municipal council democratically by people is a proof that Libyans are aware of the best interest of their country, adding that there can be no military rule in Libya.
He also explained that his government is not going to sit idly by in the fighting against terrorism and security violations in the country.
Al-Sirraj also promised the attendees that his government is committed to implementing security arrangements and providing the necessary services across Libya, plus working toward building a united military institution under a civilian authority.
"We have also made progress in economic reforms that led to the decrease of the deficit and improvement of the exchange rates of the dinar in the black market. We are working toward establish non-centralism in the country so that all citizens can receive their rights justly." He added.
Al-Sirraj also said at the meeting that was held in Tripoli that they will support the municipalities and expand their authorities to carry out their work properly.
