Libyan Foreign Minister, Najla Al-Mangoush has reaffirmed, in a phone call with the new Tunisian Foreign Minister, Nabil Ammar, her keen interest to continue working to strengthen brotherly ties and joint cooperation between Libya and Tunisia, and to consolidate historical relations between the two countries.

Al-Mangoush congratulated Ammar on his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs, wishing him success in performing his work.

The two ministers reaffirmed the continuation of coordination and consultation on various regional and international issues of common concern, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity.

Last week, Tunisian President Kais Saied appointed Ammar as foreign minister, after ending the duties of former foreign minister Othman al-Jarandi, thus becoming the fourth minister to be dismissed from his position since the beginning of the year.
