The Minister of Oil and Gas in the Government of National Unity, Khalifa Abdul Sadiq, discussed with a delegation from Schlumberger enhancing environmental sustainability, developing oil fields, and supporting productivity in the oil and gas sector.
This came during a meeting on the sidelines of the Libya Energy and Economy Summit 2025, where the two parties discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation and future investments, according to a statement by the ministry on its Facebook page.
Abdul Sadiq stressed the importance of developing national cadres and encouraging new graduates and talents to create a new generation capable of modern management and innovation.
He also met with a delegation from the Chinese company Geo Gad to discuss the company's plans to enter the Libyan market. The company provided an overview of its activities and technical expertise in the oil and gas sector and the company's extended relations with major oil companies.
The discussions during the meeting focused on investment, building infrastructure, projects, and increasing production capacity, as they aspire to achieve strategic expansion and enhance cooperation to serve the Libyan oil sector. The activities of the third edition of the Libya Energy Summit were held in the capital, Tripoli, over the past two days, with the participation of a number of foreign energy companies, investors, and decision-makers.
