The Presidential Council's Head, Mohamed Menfi, received on Monday Abdoulaye Bathily, head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, at his residence in Algiers, where he is attending the Arab League summit.
The two sides exchanged notes on the developments in Libya, including the economic and security situation and ways to move forward with the political process.
They also stressed the importance of the national reconciliation project to achieve peace and stability in the country, according to a statement by the PC media office.
Menfi and Bathily had arrived in Algiers to participate in the Arab League summit, scheduled for 1-2 November.
The summit, which kicked off Tuesday, featured the participation of state heads, government officials, and representatives of international organizations.
