Chairman of the Presidential Council (PC), Fayez Al-Sarraj, called on the states supporting warlord Khalifa Haftar to review their policies and to bid on the Libyan people and not on an individual.

In an interview with the Russian news agency "Sputnik", Al-Sarraj expressed his surprise at Moscow's position and its request not to mention Khalifa Haftar by name at the Security Council's meeting, in addition to hindering the issuance of a statement condemning the aggression on Tripoli.

The PC head called on the UN mission to commit to the principles of neutrality and to call a spade a spade, stressing that those who obstruct the political process in Libya must be held accountable.

He also downgraded the role of the Arab League, saying that it was absent over the past three years and had confined itself to send a representative with lacklustre performance, as he described it.
