The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, has issued instructions to focus efforts on projects to establish water treatment plants and supply networks in all regions, especially those that suffer from a shortage of water sources, distribution networks and sanitation problems, as a priority in the current year's plan.

PM Dbeibah stressed the importance of accelerating the pace of work in the sewage network projects for the cities of Ajdabiya and Sebha, which were approved during 2022, stressing the need to adhere to high technical specifications and work according to the approved standards and the prices of the executive agencies.

Dbeibah’s instructions came during his meeting with the director of the Housing and Utilities Projects Authority, Mahmoud Ajaj, and the directors of the authority's technical departments, in the presence of the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Adel Jumaa.

The Director of the Housing and Utilities Projects Authority stated that the implemented work during 2021 and 2022 focused on addressing urgent problems in all cities and regions, pointing to the implementation of 405 projects, and the completion of 177 projects, while work is being done at high technical rates in other projects.

He also indicated that the authority contracted to complete 45 projects during 2022, after completing all contractual and technical procedures and starting work on them using local implementation tools.
