Pro-Khalif Haftar militias arrested Mabrouk Al-Mugrabi, a social media blogger, from his home in Ajdabia on Sunday, the family confirmed.
Sources close to the family said that a group of armed men arrived at Al-Mugrabi's residence at dawn and took him away without disclosing the reason for his detention.
It may be worth noting that the same party had arrested Al-Mugrabi in September of last year, only to release him after a few days.
The blogger is known for utilizing his social media platforms to advocate for the rights of those affected by the war in Chad during Gaddafi's regime, given his firsthand experience as one of the deployed soldiers in that conflict.
His posts also encompassed appeals for the release of individuals unjustly detained, shedding light on the challenging living conditions faced by citizens in specific regions.
