Chairman of Presidential Council held separate meetings with German Ambassador to Libya Oliver Owcza and US Chargé d’Affaires Joshua Harris in Tunis on Tuesday.

The two meetings focused on the current situations in Libya, especially the ongoing war on Tripoli, in addition to Libya’s relations and cooperation ties with these two countries.

Sarraj reiterated his government’s intention to confront the attackers until they return to their pre-offensive bases.

Ambassador Owcza expressed his country’s rejection of the war on Tripoli, calling for a return to the political process as there is no military solution to Libya’s crisis.

Sarraj also reviewed with US Chargé d’Affaires the ongoing cooperation to defeat terrorism. They underscored the importance of an immediate halt to the fighting in Tripoli and a prompt return to the UN-brokered political process.
