The Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, held a meeting on Monday with the Spanish ambassador to Libya, Javier Garcia-Larrache, regarding coordinating a working visit, which a delegation from Spain is expected to make to the capital, Tripoli.
According to a report by the Media Department of the Government of National Unity, the Spanish delegation’s visit will include the opening of the Libyan-Spanish Economic Forum in coordination with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The delegation’s visit is set to include the signing of a number of memoranda of understanding (MOU), to enhance bilateral cooperation between both countries.
The Media Department indicated that Spain intends to reopen its embassy in Tripoli, following the visit of the Spanish Prime Minister in early June.
