The president of FIFA Gianni Infantino said Tuesday Libya could soon host international matches at its national stadiums.
Infantino said in a letter to the Head of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sirraj, that he had a look at the report sent by the head of the project of developing African football at FIFA after visiting Libya, saying they will soon reach a solution for lifting the ban on Libyan stadiums.
He added that he appreciates the need for Libyans to host the international matches at their stadiums, promising to lift the ban soon.
A committee from FIFA visited Libya last April in order to assess the conditions of the Libyan stadiums.
