The draw for the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations (Morocco 2025), which was held in Johannesburg on Thursday, placed Libya's national team in Group D alongside Nigeria, Benin and Rwanda.
Tunisia, Madagascar, Comoros and Gambia came in the first group, Morocco, Gabon, Central Africa and Lesotho came in the second, Egypt, Cape Verde, Mauritania and Botswana in the third, and Algeria, Equatorial Guinea, Togo and Liberia in the fifth.
Ghana, Angola, Sudan and Niger in the sixth, Côte d'Ivoire, Zambia, Sierra Leone and Chad in the seventh, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Guinea, Tanzania and Ethiopia in the eighth, Mali, Mozambique, Guinea Bissau and Eswatini in the ninth, Cameroon, Namibia, Kenya and Zimbabwe in the tenth, South Africa, Uganda, Congo, and South Sudan in the eleventh, and finally Senegal, Burkina Faso, Malawi, and Burundi in the twelfth group.
It is noteworthy that the first and second from each group will qualify for the African Cup of Nations finals.
