Libya’s national soccer team arrived in Egypt on a prep camp for the second round qualifier of AFCON 2019 against South Africa. The match will be played in South Africa.

Libya beat Seychelles 5-1 in the first AFCON qualifier and topped the group leaving South Africa second on goals difference.

Meanwhile, some players said they wouldn’t join the team’s camp and the Algerian coach Adel Amrouch responded by threatening to ban those abstaining from joining the team from ever playing for Libya as long as he is the coach, Libyan Football Federation reported.

He added that discipline and respect for time is very important for any type of work.

Al-Ahli Tripoli international players refrained from joining the camp in Cairo upon instructions by their club administration, which was acting in protest of “wrongness” of the Libyan Football Federation against Al-Ahli Tripoli club.
