The Libyan Mini Football Federation (LMF) has said that its decision to boycott the international tournament in the UAE because of Israeli participation is final, confirming there are no changes in plans.
In a Facebook statement, the federation said that being the official representative of this sport in Libya, we declined an invitation to take part in a tournament the "Zionist entity will be competing in.
Specific media outlets said that Libya will take part in the competition scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates, which normalized ties with Israel.
The federation affirmed its commitment and respect for the legislation, laws, and principles of the Libyan state, insisting that the Palestinian cause is bigger than the tournament.
It called on the relevant authorities to investigate the issue and ensure that violators of "our principles" are held accountable.
