Christa House launched a new initiative for infants this week by organising classes teaching art, knitting and other handcrafted activities in Tripoli's old town.

Classes started at the beginning of August and will continue until September. The aim of these programs is bring out the hidden talents of the children and providing an environment where this is possible.

Also accessible for the children is a library, toys and fun games that teach good behaviour and ethics. There is a stage for plays and music for the children to enjoy and practise their hidden gifts.

These activities go on all year round under the supervision of some of the expert volunteers working under the old town administration. There is a new policy aiming at improving the state of the old town, and it is hoped by organising classes and activities such as these for young children, the administration's objectives can be reached.
