A panel discussion took place at the conference hall of the Four Points Sheraton Hotel in Tripoli, Libya. The event, titled “Managing Migration on the Basis of Human Rights,” was organized by the National Council for Liberties and Human Rights and the International Organization for Migration.
Representatives from various national authorities involved in immigration matters participated, including the Council of Ministers, the Office of the Attorney General, and ministries of Interior, Defense, Justice, Health, and Labour. During the discussion, the participants addressed challenges related to the migration file and explored strategies for effective management.
Topics covered included international laws and conventions related to migrants, the role of Libyan law in addressing migration, and efforts to manage irregular migration within Libya.
