Two water dams in Libya’s eastern city of Derna collapsed simultaneously during Storm Daniel, unleashing millions cubic metres of water that caused devastating floods in the city. Over 5,000 people were killed and around 10,000 others are reported missing as several buildings washed away by flood waters.
