A scientific symposium titled ‘The Contribution of Libyans to the Algerian Liberation War’ was held at the headquarters of the Libyan Center for Archives and Historical Studies. The event featured the participation of the Algerian Ambassador to Libya, the Consul of the Sudanese Embassy, the Cultural Consul at the Palestinian Embassy, as well as several specialists and individuals interested in the history of Libyan jihad and resistance against colonialism in Arab countries.
During the symposium, various research papers were presented, highlighting the role of the Libyan Center for Archives and Historical Studies in documenting Libya’s contribution to resisting European colonialism. Additionally, the symposium explored the Libyan support for and involvement in preparing the Algerian revolution between 1947 and 1954.
