The director of marketing for the Libyan Iron and Steel Company, Ali Al-Dharrat said the company will export the first shipment of reinforcing steel estimated at 5 thousand tons, to Algeria in the coming days.

Al-Dharrat disclosed in a press statement that the company intends to export other quantities estimated at 92 thousand tons to the United States of America, Greece, and West Africa, adding that about 5 thousand tons of iron "rolls Amp" will be exported from the port of Misurata to Egypt.

He also denied any fall in rebar prices in the local market, attributing the price increase last months by 20% to denying the company access to obtaining the dollar at the official price.
