The Mabrouk oil field in Libya is expected to resume production this year after rehabilitation due to destruction from regional wars in recent years.
The NOC Head, Farhat Bengdara, revealed the developments during the general assembly meeting of Mabrouk Oil Operations Company.
The meeting highlighted the company's activities in 2023, including the successful rehabilitation of the Mabrouk field, its performance indicators, and key projects planned for 2024.
Bengdara said that early production rates of 25,000 barrels per day are under review, with an expected production resumption this year.
