The Ministry of Education has received 190 million dinars from the government for printing school books, Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah said as he expressed his anger at the lack of school books at the beginning of the new school year.

On Tuesday, Dbeibah told an audience at the "Women and Political Participation" symposium in Tripoli that he later discovered that the money allocated by the government to the Ministry of Education to print the textbook last June was transferred to the personal account of the Minister of Education, blaming him for this failure.

"The Public Prosecution is continuing its investigations into the case," he said, noting that the government has taken action to provide books to various students. "The government will not turn a blind eye to this issue," the PM said.

He underscored that he would follow up in person on this file to make sure all students get their books.
