The Ministry of Higher Education in the Government of National Unity announced the signing of an executive program for joint cooperation with Sudan in the field of higher education and scientific research until 2026.
This came during the reception of the Minister of Higher Education, Omran Al-Geeb, on Sunday, of his Sudanese counterpart, Mohammed Dahab, and a delegation that included the Sudanese Ambassador to Libya, and the presidents of the universities (Khartoum - Red Sea - West Kordofan - Ghadarif), according to a statement by the Ministry of Higher Education.
The meeting was also attended by the President of the Libyan Academy, the Director General of the Libyan Authority for Scientific Research, the Director General of the National Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Educational and Training Institutions, and a number of presidents of Libyan universities and directors of departments in the ministry.
The statement said that the meeting took place "within the framework of scientific and research integration between the two ministries in the two brotherly countries," noting that many issues and topics of common interest in the field of higher education and scientific research were discussed to contribute to developing cooperation and networking between universities and research centers in the two countries.
