The Coast Guard and Ports Security Agency announced the rescue of 110 illegal immigrants in two separate operations northeast of the city of Al-Khoms on Saturday.

The media office of the Libyan Army Chief of Staff explained that the boat Ghat, affiliated with the Central Sector of the Coast Guard and Port Security Agency, was able to rescue two rubber boats at sea carrying 110 illegal immigrants of African nationalities while they were trying to migrate towards the European coasts.

The office indicated that the immigrants were disembarked at the Al-Khoms Naval Base, and were handed over to the competent authorities after providing them with support and assistance.
